Either way, the Mail app on your Mac makes it easy to both import and export mailboxes and this tutorial shows you how. Some users still report seeing blank inboxes with a message at the bottom showing the mailbox is being updated. The Mailboxes are slow to refresh and show the new emails. Go to your existing profile folder and copy your mail files over to the new location. Also, when creating a New Mailbox, I don't have the option of creating one under "Inbox" or "Sent". I can find the mail I moved there by using spotlight, but nothing shows when I click "On My Mac".
I've created 2 mailboxes in "On My Mac", but they're not showing in the sidebar. Untick Move deleted messages to the Trash. Select your Account and click Mailbox Behaviors. Disable Move deleted messages to the Trash mailbox. Apple Mail is unable to move the message to the Trash mailbox. Saying that they won't be there if not already in place on the device. The mail client is brill once it's set up how you like it. You can get the other folders pushed down by going to settings - mail - click on your email account - click folders to push. The more email addresses and the more mail you save, the more likely this is to assist with a slow system.
If you use the Mail app on your Mac and notice that it seems to have slowed down, you can try rebuilding the message index databases to see if that will help. Besides, in Outlook 2007 and later Outlook for Windows, Autodiscover automatically maps to any mailbox for which a user has full access permissions. Outlook for Mac does not support Auto-mapping. Note the pop port is the standard ssl port. Although the ports recommended are now common with many vendors, the smtp is not the now very old standard one. A quick look at the doc for the droid seems to show no way to change the ports. Select “Don’t Sort Messages” to turn off focused inbox.
You’ll be informed about email flowing to Other, and you can switch between tabs any time to take a quick look.
The Focused and Other tabs will appear at the top of your mailbox. Under When email is received, select Sort messages into Focused and Other.Then chose Display settings > Focused Inbox. Look at the top right and click on the the gear shaped icon.
It is not configured in the PC based Outlook client on campus. IMPORTANT NOTE: Microsoft Outlook’s Focused Inbox is available in the Outlook 365 (webmail) interface, the iOS mobile interface and the Mac Outlook interface. Your most important emails are on the Focused tab while the rest remain easily accessible-but out of the way-on the Other tab. Focused Inbox separates your inbox into two tabs-Focused and Other.
